By 2004, I had spent almost a decade working at the Royal Bank of Canada in Regina, Saskatchewan. I loved my work and my co-workers at RBC but I was ready to take on a new challenge. My brother Mark Moellman had great success in the United States with his new packaging company; InterBULK USA. He explained to me the business model and encouraged me to test the waters in Canada with a similar venture. As a 1995 graduate with Honours in Business Administration (HBA) from the IVEY School of Business at The University of Western in London (Ontario), I knew I had a solid business education that I would need to rely upon to have success as an entrepreneur. Regardless of how well I was prepared for this independent transition on paper, I still felt nervous.
As a freshman in 1991, I co-founded the University of Western Women’s Rugby team. So I was no stranger to starting, organizing and growing new ventures. But starting a company that would need to be successful to feed and clothe my family was a whole other layer of responsibility. I became a mother in 2002 with the birth of my oldest daughter and we planned to have more children so the window to get a new company started and off the ground was small. In September 2004 with a bit of risk, hope and optimism, I incorporated InterBULK Canada Inc. Since that moment I have never looked back. It has been one of the best decisions of my life.
Today our primary focus is on sustained company growth by continuing to offer the highest quality service and products. We are streamlining our operations and nurturing new contacts in addition to strengthening our existing relationships with outstanding partners around the globe. I am extremely proud that from humble beginnings we have grown InterBULK Canada to be one of the premiere FIBC and Bulk Bag companies in Canada.

In 2001 I was working for a fast growing packaging company in Western Canada. The President was intent on replicating the recent business success in the United States. I was the one chosen to lead that project. In August 2001 I arrived in Boston, MA to set up the new operations. This was just 3 weeks before the events of 9/11.
Six months later in January 2002 the Canadian Packaging company I worked for was sold to a new ownership group that did not want to continue with the project I had started.

I was caught between a rock and a hard place. I saw the value in my work and even more important the Plant Managers I had come to know were counting on me to make good on my promises. In February 2002 InterBULK USA LLC was founded to keep those promises.
Today we continue to grow our operations based upon the same foundation we built in 2002. We design and manufacture optimally designed bulk bags and deliver them to our customers quickly and at a great price.
In June 2017 we opened interbulkexpress.com, an e-commerce store offering smaller quantities of our high quality OX Brand bags direct to small businesses at incredible prices.
In November 2017 we launched InterBULK Stock Inventory Wholesale. This is our most comprehensive offering of non-InterBULK branded bulk bags. Economically priced, always in stock and delivered anywhere in the continental United States within 1 to 5 business days.
